What a residential IP is
When a request goes through the proxy, the target site logs the proxy's IP instead of yours. With this product, that IP belongs to a consumer broadband line, not to a cloud or hosting provider.
Many sites rate-limit or challenge traffic from server ranges and go easier on home connections. That is why people pick residential IPs to collect prices, check local search results, or see a page exactly the way people in that city see it.
What a GB costs
An order can be anywhere from 5 GB to 5,000 GB. The total size of the order decides the rate, and the whole order is billed at that rate. A 5 GB starter order is $1.67, 100 GB is $27.90, and 2,000 GB is $450.00.
There is no monthly reset. Buy 25 GB in March, use 10 GB, and the other 15 GB are still there in June. Uploaded and downloaded bytes both count toward usage.
- 5-24 GB: $0.333 per GB
- 25-99 GB: $0.306 per GB
- 100-499 GB: $0.279 per GB
- 500-1,999 GB: $0.252 per GB
- 2,000 GB and up: $0.225 per GB
Country, city and session
All targeting is written into the proxy username, so you can change it per request without opening the dashboard. Add cc and a two-letter country code, then city and a city name if you want to narrow it down. 60 countries are available.
Without a session, the IP rotates on every request. To hold one IP, for example while a checkout or login flow runs over several pages, add sid followed by any label you like. Requests that share a sid keep the same IP for up to 60 minutes, and ttl sets the length in minutes. A new sid gives you a new IP.
- Rotating IP in the United Kingdom: USERNAME-zone-res-cc-gb
- One IP in Toronto for 30 minutes: USERNAME-zone-res-cc-ca-city-toronto-sid-cart22-ttl-30
Host, ports and credentials
Point your tool at gate.sovpn.store. Port 6100 takes HTTP and HTTPS, port 6200 takes SOCKS5. Your proxy username (it starts with so) and its password appear in the Proxy plans tab the first time you open it. One pair covers the whole account and every proxy order on it.
If your scripts run on servers with fixed IPs, you can leave the password out. Add up to 10 IPv4 addresses to the allowlist and connections from them are accepted directly. Targeting options still go in the username.
When another product is cheaper
Every GB is billed, so heavy jobs like video, image-rich pages or large downloads use up an order fast. For tools that move a lot of data every day, unlimited residential with its daily price is often the better deal.
If you need one address that stays the same for weeks, static ISP proxies fit better. And when a site has no problem with server IPs, datacenter proxies cost much less.
