1. What SoVPN provides
SoVPN is a paid VPN service. The app connects your device to a SoVPN server in one of 44 countries over an encrypted tunnel, and your traffic reaches the internet from that server.
Every plan includes all servers, the WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2 protocols, the kill switch, split tunneling and DNS leak protection, with no cap on data or speed. Some features, such as Double VPN and a dedicated IP, come only with certain plans.
2. Your account and token
Your account is a single account token, created for you on the sign-up page and shown there once. You log in by pasting it. We do not take an email address, name, phone number or password, and SoVPN does not send email.
Because there is no email, we cannot confirm who owns an account. A lost token cannot be resent or reset, and the account cannot be recovered. Keep a copy somewhere safe. Anyone who has your token can use your account, and you are responsible for what is done with it.
Each IP address can create up to 3 accounts.
3. Balance
Purchases on SoVPN are paid from a balance held in US dollars. You add to it with crypto on the PayGate checkout page (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL or LTC), between $5 and $5,000 at a time.
Your balance has no expiry date. It cannot be withdrawn, converted back to crypto or moved to another account.
A top-up is credited once the blockchain confirms it. Sending another coin, using another network or sending a different amount than shown can delay the credit or prevent it.
4. VPN plans and proxy plans
VPN plans come in Basic, Plus and Pro, for 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months. The full price of the period is taken from your balance at purchase. Current prices are on the pricing page.
A plan starts at the moment of purchase and ends when its period is over. If you already have a plan running, the new one starts when the running one ends (see section 5).
Proxies (residential, unlimited residential, static ISP and datacenter) are a separate product paid from the same balance, and no VPN plan includes them. A proxy order shows as Activating until it is set up. If an order cannot be activated, the full amount is returned to your balance.
5. No automatic renewal
Plans do not renew on their own, and SoVPN takes nothing from your balance unless you buy something. When a period ends, the service stops until you buy again.
A plan bought while another one is active is added to the end of the active one.
6. Downloads and device limits
Apps and configuration files can be downloaded only by accounts with a paid VPN plan, from the Downloads tab in the dashboard.
How many devices can be connected at the same time depends on the plan: 6 on Basic, 10 on Plus and 12 on Pro. A router counts as one device. You may install the apps on more devices than that, but only that number can be connected at once.
7. Refunds
The first VPN plan on an account can be refunded in full to your SoVPN balance if you ask within 7 days of buying it, once per account. The Refund Policy has the details.
8. How you may use SoVPN
Follow the Acceptable Use Policy and the laws that apply to you. VPN use is restricted in some countries, and it is up to you to check the rules where you are.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Remaining plan time and balance on that account are not refunded.
9. Our liability
We work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will never go down. Maintenance and problems outside our control can take servers offline.
Some websites limit VPN traffic, so we cannot promise that any particular site or service will work over SoVPN. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your current plan.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service changes. The date at the top shows the version in force. If you keep using SoVPN after a change, you accept the new version.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent from the Support tab in your dashboard.
